Last month Sufjan Stevens, the Detroit native and singer-songwriter, released “No Shade In The Shadow of The Cross”. This was the first single to his upcoming album titled Carrie & Lowell, his first album in five years. Along with this track he released tour dates. Stevens’ previous album, The Age of Adz wandered from his original folk roots with the addition of an electronic touch. However, today he released another single from Carrie & Lowell titled “Should Have Known Better”, and together both singles represent the soft melodies that we heard on Stevens’ 2005 album Illinois and albums prior to that.
