Justin Vernon, the musical mastermind behind Bon Iver, Volcano Choir, and so much more, is embarking on another adventure. This summer Justin will curate the first ever Eaux Claires Music and Arts festival and it will take place in Eau Claire, Wisconsin on July 17th and 18th. An outdoor festival, it will have 2 stages and one tent with a 6,000 person capacity. It will also have onsite camping, open from Thursday the 16th to Sunday the 19th. Attendance is expected to be around 25,000 people each day.
Vernon is working with Crashline Productions to put on the event. These are the guys responsible for the relatively new Boston Calling Music Festival. Over it's first few years, Boston Calling has already found success and had one of the best small festival lineups last year.
Justin will be selecting the lineup for his festival, which sounds very promising. He's worked with countless artists over the years, so who knows which of them will show up. Keep an eye out as festivals start to release their lineups in January, this could be a new staple to add to the US festival circuit.
