If you still aren't aware yet, Schoolboy Q is playing tomorrow (October 18th) at the Hill Auditorium in Ann Arbor. He will also be joined by electronic duo Slander as well as University of Michigan student Campaigne (AKA Camryn Jackson).
Schoolboy Q came onto the scene in 2008 and has released 2 mixtapes and 3 full length albums since. His most recent, Oxymoron, was met with positive reviews and the tour along with it was something you didn't want to miss. His top singles off of the album were "Collard Greens", "Man of the Year", and "Studio", each charting in the US Billboard Hot 100 Chart.
Opening for Schoolboy Q is Slander. This duo has been producing music and djing since 2010, but just recently started to make big waves in the music world. While creating their own "Heaven Trap" genre they also garnered a passionate following and earned some well-deserved support from top names in the industry like Diplo (check out their latest remix), DJ Snake, and Carnage.
Campaigne (Camryn Jackson) will also be opening Saturday night. Born in Chicago and raised in East Lansing, Camryn began rapping as a child and is now a fellow student here at the University of Michigan. In less than 2 years on the hip-hop scene he has already put out 3 mixtapes. Check out his SoundCloud page here to get a preview.
If you don't have tickets yet, grab them while you still can. You're going to want to catch two great up and coming artists, not to mention one of the best rappers of the decade.
